In November, students and faculty members attended and delivered presentations at the 72nd Annual Mississippi Counseling Association Conference held in Tupelo, MS.
On Thursday, November 10th, Lindsey Donald and Kimberly Gray presented Utilizing art therapy with trauma: Focused cognitive behavioral therapy for addressing racial trauma in youth. Doctoral students TinMuk Li, Lindsey Donald, Shayna Carter, Abdullah Almutairi, and one faculty member, Dr. E. J. Looby, presented Utilizing art therapy and cinematherapy to address bullying in elementary school children. Doctoral students Shayna Carter, Kimberly Gray, Abdullah Almutairi, TinMuk Li, and one faculty member, Dr. E. J. Looby, presented To technology and beyond: The future of counseling services.
On Friday, November 11th, Jessie Davis and one faculty member, Dr. C. Justice, presented Exploring immigration and the impact on counseling.
